Every Piece Starts With a Past

Most Relic pieces start with a past. An old engagement ring from the Victorian Era, a locket holding a child's lock of hair. Maybe a charm celebrating friendship, a loose stone, or bits of gold that still have something left to say.

I take those pieces apart and rebuild them into something new. Sometimes I preserve most of the original. Sometimes I strip it down to the one detail that still has a pulse. Then I build around that history—adding something new so the past remains visible while the piece becomes entirely its own.

I use real antique history as raw materials and make something that feels alive and relevant now.

The Hunt Is Part of the Work

I’ve been hunting for jewelry in other people’s discards since I was a teenager. Flea markets, estate sales, antique shops. I still love that part: the digging, the looking, the moment something turns up; it feels like unearthing artifacts

Digging for treasure is part of the work and product. Most pieces I make cannot be repeated simply because I rarely find the same antique twice.
