SHOP POLICIES

Fine jewelry deserves clear terms. Please read these policies before claiming a relic.

SHIPPING

Shipping terms and available services are shown at checkout. Shipping is included in the price of the item. If you would like a different method of shipping than offered (over $800 is 2 day mail with signature confirmation at dropoff), then you can select and pay for it at checkout.

Anomaly Relic is responsible for your order from the moment it is purchased until the carrier marks it delivered to the shipping address provided at checkout. Any package over 800 will require a signature at drop-off unless you discuss with me first that this won't work for you and arrange another agreed upon delivery method.

Once the carrier records the package as delivered, Anomaly Relic is not responsible for parcels removed from doorsteps, mailrooms, lobbies, or mailboxes.

Know your building or your mailbox. If packages have a habit of disappearing where you live, contact us before ordering to request a quote for additional insurance.

Make sure your address is complete and correct before placing your order.

International Orders

International shipping is approved on a case-by-case basis.

Contact us before purchasing so we can determine whether insured, trackable delivery is currently available to your location and provide a shipping quote.

International buyers are responsible for all costs associated with importing the order, including postage, customs duties, taxes, VAT, brokerage charges, and any other fees due upon arrival.

Anomaly Relic cannot accurately estimate, collect, or coordinate these charges. The buyer is responsible for communicating with customs or import agents and completing any required payment or documentation promptly.

CONDITION, HISTORY

Every relic is carefully examined, tested, described, and photographed before it enters the Vault.

Many pieces begin with antique or previously worn elements. Their softened edges, old repairs, surface wear, enamel lines, and other irregularities are not necessarily defects. They are evidence. Proof that the object existed before it reached us.

We disclose the condition we can see and document. Review all photographs and descriptions carefully before purchasing.

Need another angle? A measurement? A closer look at a clasp, stone, portrait, surface, or setting? Contact us through the website or message @anomalyrelic on Instagram before you claim the piece.

Ask every question you need to make an intentional, informed purchase. We would rather give you the evidence now than negotiate with regret later.

Condition Concerns After Delivery

If you discover a condition issue within seven days of receiving your order, contact us immediately and include clear photographs.

We inspect clasps, bails, stone settings, connections, and other functional elements before shipping, but antique jewelry has lived a life, and occasionally something escapes notice.

A problem reported within seven days may indicate an issue we missed during inspection. Damage reported after that period is more likely to be related to wear, impact, storage, handling, or use.

When appropriate, we may recommend repair through a trusted local jeweler. Repair availability and cost will depend on the piece and the damage.

Every item offered by Anomaly Relic is antique-sourced, previously worn, handmade, or some strange union of the three. Each will carry evidence of its past or of the hands that made it.

If you require pristine, machine-perfect jewelry with no trace of human life, this may not be your Vault.

EXCHANGES & STORE CREDIT

We do not offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases.

Eligible full-price items purchased through the Anomaly Relic website may be exchanged or returned for store credit when the exchange request is made within seven days of the carrier-recorded delivery date.

Sale, discounted, promotional, and otherwise marked-down items are final sale. They are not eligible for exchange, return, refund, or store credit.

To request an exchange, contact us before sending anything back. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

Buyers are responsible for:

• Securely packaging the returned piece
• Purchasing tracked and adequately insured return shipping
• Providing the tracking information promptly
• Maintaining clear, timely communication throughout the exchange

The piece must be returned unworn, undamaged, unaltered, and in its original packaging. If it returns with new damage, missing components, evidence of wear, or alterations performed by another jeweler, the exchange or store credit may be refused.

Shipping charges, insurance costs, duties, taxes, and import fees are not credited or refunded.

If your order arrives with damage that was not photographed or disclosed in the listing, contact us immediately. We will review the evidence and work toward an appropriate resolution.

CAN I SEE IT IN PERSON?

Anomaly Relic is intentionally web-based, with a limited number of in-person events and private viewing opportunities.

We currently appear at approximately one or two events a year in and near N.Y.C. These are rare chances to see the relics in person. To be able to examine the antique evidence, the maker-hand work, and the details a screen cannot quite hold.
Hunting a specific piece? Contact me before the event. I will confirm whether it is still available and make sure it comes out of the Vault for you.

DAMAGE AFTER PURCHASE

Jewelry is meant to be worn. It is not indestructible.

New damage can occur through impact, pulling, crushing, chemical exposure, improper storage, careless handling, or ordinary wear. In most cases, damage that develops after the delivery inspection period is the responsibility of the wearer rather than the shop that sold the piece.

This is especially important with antique elements. History gives them character, not supernatural immunity.

Contact us for guidance if a relic needs attention. Depending on the piece, repair or Collector Care services may be available for a fee.

SALE & DISCOUNTED ITEMS

All sale and discounted items are final sale.

When Anomaly Relic offers a price reduction, it is intentional—usually to clear space in the Vault, mark a transition, or support a shift happening behind the scenes.

The lower price does not create softer terms.

Review every photograph. Read the full description. Request any measurements or condition details you need before purchasing.

Once claimed, a sale relic is yours.

SKIN REACTIONS & METAL SENSITIVITIES

Anomaly Relic discloses the known metal type and purity of each piece in its product listing.
Individual skin reactions can vary, even with precious metals. Anomaly Relic is not responsible for irritation, discoloration, allergic responses, or other sensitivities caused by wearing jewelry.

If you have known or suspected metal sensitivities, review the listed materials carefully and consult a qualified medical professional before purchasing or wearing the piece.

Questions about a particular relic’s materials should be asked before purchase.
