The Three-Headed Baby

Strange times called for stranger jewelry. I first sculpted the Three-Headed Baby in 2020, when the world had become absurd enough that a tiny creature with three heads suddenly felt perfectly reasonable. It became an Anomaly favorite in its original form: weird, funny, slightly unsettling, and immediately understood by exactly the right people.

This House Relic version is cast in 14K yellow gold and given six tiny pink sapphire eyes, because apparently three heads were not enough. The sapphires make the faces prettier and considerably stranger. Depending on the light, they can look sweet, watchful, mildly possessed, or as though all three babies know something they have agreed not to tell you. Adorable? Creepy? Yes.

From Anomaly to Relic

The Three-Headed Baby existed before House Relics did.

Its first life was through Anomaly Jewelry, my original line, where the design was cast in base metal and made without gemstone eyes. It became one of those pieces people either understood immediately or never would—the kind of object that made someone laugh, look closer, and then decide they needed it.

The House Relic version keeps the original creature intact while giving it the materials and hand-finishing it deserves: solid 14K gold, six pink sapphires, and each ring produced for its future owner rather than pulled anonymously from inventory. Same strange little beast. Finer bones.

 It is funny without becoming novelty jewelry, strange without asking permission to be taken seriously, and beautifully made without behaving the way fine jewelry is usually expected to behave. That tension is pure Anomaly Relic.

Precious materials do not make the strange respectable. They make the strange permanent.

Relic Care

Store the ring separately in a soft-lined box or pouch so the sculptural details and sapphire settings are protected from harder pieces.

Clean gently with warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth when needed. Avoid harsh chemicals and remove the ring before heavy lifting, or using lotions, makeup or perfume.
