Rose-cut garnets set in a continuous heart-shaped halo.
Dimensions:
The ring band is graduated and starts at 4mm at the top and joins in the back at 1.5mm.
The heart is a half of an inch tall and wide.
Size

Origins and Construction
Antique 14K gold heart ring sourced and transformed by Anomaly Relic. The original ring had a plain heart center surrounded by rose-cut garnets. Karen Yost hand-sculpted the baby doll face in 14K gold and soldered it to the heart ring.

The base is an antique 14K gold ring, already beautiful before I touched it. A heart shaped face bordered by deep rose cut garnets, with warm gold that carries the softness only age can give. The center was originally plain, almost waiting for trouble.
I added the trouble.
By hand sculpting a baby face in 14K gold and setting it directly onto the heart, I turned a sweet antique ring into something stranger, more intimate, and unmistakably Relic. The face is soft and tiny, with a quiet little expression that reads somewhere between cherub, dream, and haunted keepsake. Tender, but not tame.
The garnets do their part. Rose cuts do not flash like modern stones; they glow lower, warmer, and more moodily, especially in this deep crimson red. Around the baby face, they create a border that feels devotional without getting precious. A halo, but with blood in it.
This is not restoration. The ring did not need to be returned to some polite former version of itself. This is intervention: an antique heart, kept intact where it mattered, then given a new center by one maker hand in NYC.
There is no mold for this face, no second antique base waiting, and no way to repeat the exact combination of old garnets, old gold, and Karen’s hand-sculpted addition. This ring exists once.
It feels like a secret. It feels like something you were always supposed to have.

Care
This ring contains antique gold, rose cut garnets, and a hand sculpted applied face, so it should be worn with respect. Remove before cleaning, applying lotions, or using perfume. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, and harsh chemicals. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear, and store separately in a lined box or pouch.
This ring has already lived one life. Let it keep the evidence.
