Dimensions
The charm measures 2 inches tall from the top of the bail to the end of the tail. The rat is 9mm at its widest. That is a bit over 1/4 of an inch.
Bail
Large bail designed to fit most chains. It is 5mm tall and 3mm wide.
HOW TO WEAR IT: Slide it onto the chain you already love. The oversized bail was designed intentionally so this charm works with thick chains, delicate chains, layered chains, and everything in between.
Construction
Rat body designed and hand made by Karen Yost. Tail made from vintage heart link chain that was sourced in the Diamond District of N.Y.C. where Relic resides.

This charm is built in 14K gold, with a rat body designed and made by Karen Yost and a fully articulated tail formed from vintage heart-link chain. The body is high-polish and solid in its little menace. The tail moves freely when worn, catching light with every shift of the chain. A rat with a heart chain tail is romantic and mischievous. Kind of like you.
This is what makes it a true Anomaly Relic: new gold, made by one hand, joined with a vintage fragment that could not be duplicated on command. The body is newly fabricated, and the tail had a life before this. Together, they become something stranger and sweeter than either piece could have been alone.
The oversized bail is intentional, made to slide onto almost any chain you already own. Heavy chain. Fine chain. The one you never take off. This charm was not made to sit in a box waiting for permission.

Care
Gold does not tarnish, but high-polish surfaces can collect fingerprints and wear. Wipe gently with a soft cloth after wearing. Store separately to protect the articulated tail and keep it moving cleanly.
